Gammage's Richland Rydex mutual fund switch Hotlines
give you what we consider the easiest, simplest and
most effective way to play the overall market -- no
vehicle selection, no decaying option time premiums
and expirations, no dividend paybacks, no margin or
borrowing availability problems. We use Rydex's
no-load, no-fee, no restrictions, Nasdaq 100 and
S&P 500 clone funds, short and long (call Rydex at
[800] 820-0888 for a prospectus.) The
"Dynamic" funds, leveraged 2-1, average
moves of 2% - 7% per day. The more conservative
unleveraged (1 for 1) funds average moves of 1% to 3
1/2% daily. It mounts up, but we're often OUT
and on the sidelines in cash -- "When in doubt,
stay out". You can only get in and out once
a day, before the close. That's part of the cost
of doing business in these funds, along with the
realization that you're either going to be a day or
two too early when you top-guess or bottom-guess, and
are under water for those days, OR you miss the first (and
sometimes best) day of the move. As trend
followers, we try to take a bite out of the middle of
the hot dog and not be too greedy. You can trade
and even put these funds on margin like a stock with
some brokers, or you can deal directly with Rydex.
It's clean, simple, and we tell you what percentage of
what index fund we think you should be long or short,
depending on whether you classify yourself as a
short-term, nimble, aggressive speculator (a "Swingin'
Riverboat Gambler"), or a more risk-averse
Intermediate-Term Trader.
Messages of 1-3
minutes during the session go on at 1:30 PM, sometime
2:30 PM, and 3:30 PM, EST, with a longer, more
comprehensive 4-6 minute Market Outlook/Summary Wrapup
at 6:20 PM EST after the close, repeating the day's
recommendations, summarizing what happened, and what
we expect is likely for the future.
Give
us a try -- see if we can't make you money the simple,
easy way, timing the overall market. |
